Are you excited about the new story coming this Monday? I am and I can’t keep still.

But let’s appreciate that moment. Culture is so easily acquired these days it’s scary. Getting a lot of anything devaluates it drastically. I’ve read a lot of people sharing that same feeling. Social media is partly responsible, giving us a constant feed of content. We no longer have to hunt for great content. Remember spending hours combing through records, comics to find that one gem? How precious was it?

I feel it has something to do with delayed gratification. It is a psychology concept I find very interesting. Being patient, having self-control gives value to the whatever you are waiting for and it’s good for you!

I remember how excited I was on Christmas eve, thinking about that toy I had dreamed about for months. Hoping it would be there.

Giving is equally exciting. I remember choosing a gift for my father as a kid. Being a kid, I chose a toy of course, Slag to be precise. I don’t remember many toys I received, but I do remember “giving” this one.  I mostly resisted the urge to play with it. Mostly 🙂

My comics might not be as exciting as that, but they are my gift to you. If I can rekindle a bit of that spark, it makes me really happy.

I’m sure you have great memories like that to share. I’d love to read them, don’t be shy!
